A step towards some change

I am a very simple egyptian girl, who is not satisfied somehow with her society and feels like this specific society deserves more than it gets, and can be the best with little more effort and much more frankness and persistance. NO COMMENT

Meditation to a road trip through cairo's streets

"Taxi!!" its easy to stop a taxi but very hard to convince him to drive u to ur destination after argueing and a very long interrogation he thinks thats not his way "i'm sorry" and simply drive away. What the hell is that!! how could he dare to say this to me!! I mean he is a taxi driver how could he refuse to do his job!! and negotiate about the fare and where are we going and may be suggesting couple of places to go instead!!!! after this long wait i decided to take anything else "microbus" or "mini". they are rare crowded and smell bad!! after suffering i manage to get into one "microbus". "the fare miss!!" very rudely the driver's assist. askes me while staring and smiling in a silly way. The driver goes very fast through the streets messing up my favourite hobby which is watching people.Through out my childhood they kept teaching us that the traffic light is always 3 lights(red for stop-yellow for ready- green for go), but only here in Egypt where u can find a one colour traffic light it have three places and they are all yellow!! i mean is that a sign for drivers to be always "ready"or what i cant really get it!! Also those poor traffic men who know nothing about anything they can hardly stop cars or let them drive away, they are really helpless and useless as long as they are not granted the right authority to practice it. while I'm very aware where we are going and heading to once they arrive to where they like no matter if this is where u want to go or not they force u to get out, "this is our last stop.!!" everybody gets out bored, busy or whatever they have in their mind. I go to take the subway, well its fast and some how easy. I pass the money to the clerk waiting for my ticket and as i dont take the sub. too much i tend to ask about my destination how to get there after he harreses me for some time i get the info. i want and head down to take the next train. people like to stare soo much and make u feel like an alien. anyway i stand waiting for it to come and fortunately it arrives quickly i get in and search for an empty place to stand not even to sit, just to stand. while a religious nice lady start to give her speech about whatever she likes, i just fly with my imagination into the darkness of the tunnel around us and imagine if it breaks down what shall i do"ohh God!!". i shake my head trying to get rid of that idea realizing that i'm at my stop. fighting to get down as the crocodiles of people tend to push u back, i succeed to get out.
Finally i finishes what i've came to but remembering how could i go back home "what a misery". i try to wait for some "mini or microbus" but its all in vain they are now all crowded... while waiting i see at that same street a young mother with her 3 children; one holding clinex boxes running between crazy drivers to buy them and he is more or less 4 years. the younger is holding some flower necklaces and he's just 2.5-3 years max also running towards the cars and ohh God i cant imagine how this mother can stand that. I mean to see their children endangered by every car they approach i myself got scared for every second this little kid gets down the pavement onto the wide street. and she is happily watching just sitting and watching!!!! i just manage to get on "something" back home wishing i could see these poor kids 10 years later where did they end up and if they forgave their mother for that abuse and misleading in their life and innocent childhood...!

They told me

**They told me to stop looking around for something worth to live for... your life is much worthy.
**They told me light is good only when it is used to lead u through the dark days, but when they are just a purpose to reach it will take u no where.
**They told me dont say words you shall regret saying one day, thus think thoroughly before saying your words. Because once they are said they are taken against you.
**They told me never stop hoping there will be better life for you, because once you stop believing you will stop improving.
**They told me never get too close to anybody because once you get closer the ugly details appear and believe me you'll hate it. (Always keep the distances).
**They told me life is just a journey so try to get as much fun and the least casualities as you can. Never try to lose yourself for cheap things, you are much valuable.
**They told me in your darkest and lowest point try harder to look to the far blinking spot because this shall be your way out one day.
**They told me never forget your deceased beloved but also dont live grieving over the memory all your life.
**They told me no boss is friendly just do your job, because what ever you shall do you'll never please him 100%
**They told me love is the best gift in the world but its not the only too, life is full of blessings be more thankful every day.

ROSE

Sweet little Rose liked the colour "white". All her clothes were white and so were her dollies. But her favourite dress was a white ling dress with pearls around the neck and a light rosy rose. One day she went out of her house promising her mom to be back really soon. she used to play in the wide greeny fields around her house all alone, but happy. this time she challenged herself to go far and beyond the limits of her mind. she ran fast, as fast as she could. once she found herself infront of a beautiful, spakling pond, with white doves around it. the scenery looked fabulous. she was fascinated by the colours and lights, yet she didn't feel at ease. Something was wrong. then one old white-headed man came from no where, approached Rose. "Are you lost?!", asked the man. "No, I've been here before", she didn't know why she lied but certainly she was taken with the view and blind minded. Also she didn't want to look ignorant or lost. the man told her to come to the local market, after hesitation for a while, she didn't want to be an alien and so she went.
This market was really messy and chaotic people were dirty, disgusting and smelly. when she showed up in the market, they were shocked, quite and weary. then they all cheered up, hugged her, although they didn't know her and neither did she. her white dress was all dirty with muddy stains. Rose felt really out ragged and furious. she tried to know if they ever seen her before but no one would answer. she cried and screamed, yet they kept polluting and poisoning her white dress. that old man showed again and this time he looked as dirty and disgusting as everbody else. "you knew, and we treated you as you knew". Then she was driven away with her dirty dress, all its pearls were lost. they took her back to her house's backyard, only then the old man snatched off the beautiful rosy rose from the dirty dress, "this doesn't fit your dress". With Rose's heart breaking cry and their mischievous laughs; Rose's rosy rose was lost.....
